WebToSpeech

Overview

WebToSpeech is a web application designed to provide a simplified, organized reading experience for a wide audience. It allows users to upload documents, store them in a centralized database, and have them read aloud using text-to-speech synthesis.

The platform focuses on reducing friction when interacting with large collections of reading material by offering structured organization, accessibility tools, and intuitive navigation.

Key Features

Users can create custom collections to organize documents, making it easier to manage large libraries of files. Documents can be filtered, searched, and grouped for quick access.

WebToSpeech also supports annotations and bookmarks, allowing users to highlight important sections and return to them later. These features are designed to enhance usability for both casual readers and users with reading accessibility needs.

Technologies

WebToSpeech was built primarily using JavaScript and the React framework. Styling was implemented using CSS, and data persistence was handled through a SQL database.
